Getting Started

I wanted to do a Valentine's themed painting, but my original drawing was a little boring, and I gave up. Then Dale asked me to do one, gave me a basic idea of what he wanted, and somehow it came together really fast. Above is the sketch, and below the finished painting.

I'm happy with the way it turned out. I like all the primary colors, and the way the sky turned out. I'm excited to paint a few more skies in the same style with different color schemes. The painting is 12 x 12 inches on canvas.

This is going to be my next painting. Is it too obscure?
